What Should be Your #1 Business New Year’s Resolution?

Did you know that Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg makes – and keeps – a resolution every New Year? He does. For example, last year he vowed to learn Mandarin, which makes a lot of sense given the size of China and the ubiquity that is Facebook. This year, he decided to read a book every other week and start an accompanying Facebook book group.

I mention this because I think we can all agree that Zuckerberg knows a thing or two about business, and if making real New Year’s resolutions works for him and Facebook, it can work for us too.

So, what is it that you want to accomplish this year? It could be as big as doubling your revenues or as simple as getting online. (In fact, according to the latest Web.com small business survey, half of all small businesses still don’t have a website, so that might be a good place to start!) Whatever your goal, one of the best ways to accomplish it is to resolve to do it, and then create the foundation to see it through.

To help you, no matter what your resolution, I have teamed up with Web.com and renowned small business expert Rieva Lesonsky. We will be having what we think will be a very engaging, impactful tweetchat next week on making and keeping small business New Year’s resolutions.

The particulars are:

See you Tuesday!
