never give up

Diana Nyad swam 110 miles from Cuba to Florida, but that feat alone isn’t what’s so inspiring about her story. The most inspiring thing is that she accomplished this feat when when was 64 – far past anything that would have been considered her “prime.”

In fact, she’d attempted the trip in her 20’s, but jellyfish stings made her quit early and left her nearly dead. At age 60, she hadn’t swum a stroke in decades, but she decided that she was going to give it another shot.

Four years later, her dream was realized. Her story is truly inspirational and illustrates two universal truths – you can do anything with the right preparation and motivation, and it’s never too late to chase your dreams.
