The workforce is almost certain to be a melting pot of various personality types and how these characteristics blend together will have a major influence on the effectiveness of any given team. When you consider the vital importance teamwork plays when starting a company, you will want to leverage the right person in the best possible role. If everyone is in a role that suits their strengths, the combination of personality types will lead to a greater output overall.

If you are an entrepreneur launching a new company, you will want to consider your own strengths and weaknesses and how best to implement them as a leader. Whether you are an introvert or an extrovert has no correlation between your ability to be a good leader or entrepreneur. Although, what is important when having a very cut and dry personality type is to know how to work through weaknesses and learn how to improve upon them.

Since introverts are typically very reserved and reflective, when you are in a situation that requires extroversion, try to focus more on asking questions and taking advantage of your listening strengths. Introverts are also driven by self-motivation which gives them an upper-hand as a technical founder. Extroverts are definitely the social butterflies at networking events, which makes meeting new people easy and fun. However, extroverts tend to have difficulty with active, focused listening without being distracted.

Whether you lean more towards introversion or extroversion, there is the possibility you will face weaknesses in business as a direct result of your personality. If you want more insight into the strengths, weaknesses and tips to succeed, check out this visual from Fundera:
