Why 3D Printers are a Must-Have for Companies

Over the past years, 3D printing technology has shown rapid growth with more and more companies introducing the technology into their processes.

With its many advantages over the traditional manufacturing methods, 3D printing technology has shown great potential in the transformation of various industries such as medicine, aircraft, automotive and so on.

In companies or industries that require mass production of big and complex parts, the new BCN3D Epsilon comes in handy.

The BCN3D Epsilon it is described as a professional FFF 3D printer, which is largely characterized, by its printing volume and its IDEX (Independent Dual Extruder) system.

Because the BCN3D offer of high-quality 3D printers, filaments, software, consumables, spare parts and support have made it very popular in the 3D market.

Below you will have a look at some of the reasons why 3D printers are necessary to have for the companies.

    Speed

Compared to traditional methods of manufacturing, the speed which 3D printing production is one of the main advantages of this new technology.

This happens because, what are usually complex designs, with additive manufacturing that 3D printer provides, are easily uploaded from a CAD model and printed in just a matter of a few hours.

This gives room for the development of new ideas on design as well as rapid verification.

    Single Step Manufacturing

The biggest concern that a designer faces is being able to manufacture a part as efficiently as possible.

The traditional technologies demand that the production of most parts require a number of steps during their manufacturing process.

This order of steps usually affects the quality and the ability to manufacture a particular design.

However, 3D printing has the ability to complete a build in a single step without interaction from the human-machine operators.

This ability to produce a part in a single step greatly reduces the usual dependence on various manufacturing processes such as welding, machining and painting.

In so doing, the designer has greater control over the final product.

    Customization

Apart from giving room for the freedom of choosing a design, additive manufacturing also allows complete customization on designs.

In medicine and dental industries, 3D printers are a lifesaver because of the concept of customization. Now, these industries can manufacture implants, custom prosthetics as well as dental aids.

    Sustainability

The subtractive nature of traditional manufacturing methods leads to high volumes of waste materials.

On the contrary, additive manufacturing technology only makes use of the exact material required to build each part. In addition, most of the processes used in 3D printing use raw materials that can either be reused or recycled in more than one build.

    Conclusion

Although 3D printing is not likely to replace many of the traditional manufacturing methods just yet, many benefits come with 3D printing such as the ability to deliver designs quickly with a high rate of accuracy.

It is therefore important to have a clear understanding of the many advantages of additive manufacturing methods, in order to help a designer make informed decisions, especially when selecting a manufacturing process that can put them in a position to deliver quality and optimal products.
