    What Entails a Good Service?

Excellent customer service is the lifeline of any business. You can reduce prices and offer promotions to bring many customers, but until those customers come back to shop, your business will not make any profit. Excellent customer service is about bringing those customers back to do more shopping. And making them happy enough to share their experiences with others, who may decide to try the service or products and in turn become regular customers.

If you are a good customer representative, you can sell anything to any customer at once. But it will be your customer service that will determine whether or not you will sell other products to that customer at once. The importance of good customer service involves forming a good relationship with the clients- a relationship that private customers would like to pursue.

How do you achieve such a relationship? By remembering this one golden rule for customer service: No win no fee services rule. This implies that a customer has no right to pay for your service or product if they have not obtained excellent customer service.

This article will present other golden rules of customer service that will make your business profitable.

    Answer Your Phone

Your business phones need to be answered at all times, especially during working hours. Get call forwarding or hire staff to answer your business calls. Make sure that there is someone to answer calls every time a customer or a supplier calls your business. Also, ensure that your customers are happy about how your staff is answering their calls.

Don’t Make Promises Unless You Mean to Stick to Them

This is the most crucial of all the golden rules of customer service. Being reliable forms a vital part of excellent customer service and a good relationship. If you promise a client that the products will be delivered to his home on Tuesday, follow up until they are delivered on the said date or earlier. The same applies to deadlines, appointments, etc. Think before you give out a promise because nothing frustrates a customer like a broken promise.

    Listen to Your Clients

Nothing sounds devastating like telling your problems to a person or what you want only to notice that person was not paying any attention at all. If you are keen on offering excellent customer service, make sure that you listen to the needs of your clients and act on them promptly.

    Deal with Complaints

No one likes to hear complaints. Others avoid them by saying “After all, you can’t please all people all the time. But the customer is the king at all times. You should try to resolve the complaints to help you win the customer back and make your business profitable again. Charges help you to discover problems and rectify them, thereby enhancing your customer service.

    Train your Staff

If you have employees, train them to be knowledgeable, courteous and helpful always to your customers. You can hire someone or train them yourself. Talk to them about excellent customer service and why it is essential to your customers.

Excellent customer service will bring more clients than reducing prices and promotions ever did. Your staff needs to be friendly, courteous, helpful and knowledgeable for them to offer excellent service. If you apply the golden rules of customer service discussed above, then your business will become successful and profitable.
